he did this so that i wouldnt see any of the premium rate pay for working bank holidays over christmas and new year. that way he still gets his wage bonus from his bosses for staying within his wage budget for the shop we work in
Contracted for 39 hours per week but last two weeks only got 36. can my boss do this?apply for a loan
Depends what it says in the terms and conditions of your contract. There may be a clause that allows him to do that. If you%26#039;re in a trade union, get them to take it up for you. Otherwise try the CAB.

I%26#039;m sure he would have to pay you for 39 as it%26#039;s not your fault you only worked 36.
Not sure about the extra premium, I wouldn%26#039;t think he would have to pay.|||Depending on the company, you can get paid for not working bank holiday.
Go to personnel/HR if you have one,if not take your wage slips to the citizens advise bureau. They may also want to see your contract of empolyment|||Citizens Advice is your first port of call, you are definitely entitled to the six hours lost and you will get the basic hourly as soon as they send the letter.
BUT, you will most likely loss your job in the long run. Your boss will get a major slap down from head office; so if you plan to do it, don%26#039;t do it alone.
If he/she ripped you off, you%26#039;re not the only one?
